Seeing the Ecuadorian coast from the air is awesome.  For the recreational flying enthusiast, or private plane transportation, the skies here on the coast are wide open, with the majority of the time in VFR flight conditions.  San Vicente hosts a 7000 foot asphalt runway, with some hangar spaces.  It is not used often, but is available to tourists, visitors, and part time residents.  There is talk of starting a flying club or even a flight school among the locals.  Can’t wait.  Later I will post a video of a grass strip landing right next to a coconut grove.  Lots of places for seaplane fun too.
